औषधीय उपयोग (Medicinal Uses):

जयपुर, राजस्थान स्थित हमारे निरोगधाम पर देशी जड़ी-बूटी ‘गोरखबूटी’ को ऑर्गेनिक रीति से पैदा और संग्रहित किया जाता है। जिसके परिणाम अपने आप में आश्चर्यजनक हैं।

1. Kidney Stone Dissolvent and Urinary Path Cleaner किडनी स्टोन डिसॉल्वेंट/किडनी पथरी घोलक और मूत्र पथ क्लीनर: This herb is described as one of the best-known remedies for bladder and kidney stones. इस जड़ी बूटी को मूत्राशय और गुर्दे के पत्थरों के इलाज के लिए सबसे प्रसिद्ध उपचारों में से एक के रूप में वर्णित किया गया है। Ayurvedic practitioners recommend a decoction of the plant to be taken internally for a few days to dissolves the stone and to clear the urinary path. आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सक पत्थरी को तोड़ने के लिये और मूत्र पथ को साफ़ करने के लिए कुछ दिनों के लिए आंतरिक रूप से इसके काढे की सिफारिश करते हैं। 

2.  काढ़ा (Decoction): A decoction (काढ़ा) is considered to be an efficacious (प्रभावशाली) diuretic (मूत्रल or मूत्रवर्धक) and is used against catarrh (excessive discharge) of the bladder (मूत्राशय) and gonorrhea (सूजाक, प्रमेह). It is described as one of the best-known remedies for bladder and kidney stones (पथरी). Ayurvedic practitioners recommend a decoction (काढ़ा) of the plant to be taken internally for a few days to dissolves the stone (पथरी) and to clear the urinary path.

3. Leaves/पत्तियां:

• (1) Leaves are steeped (भिगोना or तर करना) in hot water and applied to swellings.-(पत्तियां गर्म पानी में डूबाकर तर की जाती हैं और सूजन पर बांधी जाती हैं।)
• (2) A leaf-decoction is prepared as a gargle for treating sore throat and used in various complex treatments against guinea-worm (गिनी कृमि). to wash Babies that have become unconscious during an attack of malaria or of some other disease are washed with a leaf decoction at the same time smoke from the burning plant is inhaled. The leaf-sap is also used for eye complaints. An infusion is given to cure diarrhea and in an unspecified manner at childbirth, and on sores. (गले में खराश, शोथ, दाह होने पर इसकी पत्तियों को पानी में उबाल कर काढा बनायें और कोढे का का गरारा करें। गिनी-कीड़े के काटने पर होने वाली विभिन्न जटिलताओं/पीड़ाओं/परेशानियों के उपचारों हेतु इसके पत्तों का प्रयोग किया जाता है। मलेरिया या किसी अन्य बीमारी के हमले के दौरान बेहोश हो गए शिशुओं को नहलाने/छींटे देने के लिए इसके पत्ते का काढ़ा उपयोग किया जाता है, साथ ही शिशुओं को इसके जलते हुए पौधे का धुआं सुंघाया जाता है। आंखों की शिकायतों के लिए भी इसके पत्तों-का रस उपयोग भी किया जाता है। इसके पत्तों के जलसेक/अर्क/आसव का प्रयोग दस्तों को ठीक करने और प्रसव के दौरान हुए अनिश्चित तरीके के घावों को ठीक करने के लिये किया जाता है।)
• (3) The juice from crushed leaves is applied to the eyes. (पत्तियों कुचल कर रस निकालें और आंखों पर लगाया जाता है।)

4. Roots (जड़):

• (1) The roots are used to treat a headache, as a demulcent (शांतिदायक) to cure coughs and as a vermifuge (पेट के कीड़ों को दुर करने की दवा). ( जड़ों का उपयोग सिर दर्द का इलाज करने के लिए, खांसी को शांत करके ठीक करने के लिए और पेट के कीड़ों को दुर करने के लिये।)
• (2) The root paste is rubbed on the forehead to cure a headache. A small piece of fresh root is crushed with a little amount of water and are mixed together to make a fresh root paste. (सिर दर्द को ठीक करने के लिए जड़ का पेस्ट माथे पर रगड़ा जाता है। ताजा जड़ का एक छोटा टुकड़ा पानी की थोड़ी मात्रा के साथ कुचल दिया जाता है और एक ताजा जड़ पेस्ट बनाने के लिए एक साथ मिलाया जाता है।)
• (3) Roots are used for treating snakebite (सांप काटने) and constipation (कब्ज). (जडों का उपयोग सांप-काटने और कब्ज के उपचार में किया जाता है।)
• 5. Flowers: For pains in the lower part of the back leaves and flowers are reduced to ash which is rubbed into cuts on the back. (पीठ के निचले भाग में दर्द के उपचार के लिये पत्तियों और फूलों को पीस कर, कमर के कटों/जोड़ों पर मसलना चाहिये।)

5. Spiritual (आध्यात्मिक): It gives protection against evil spirits, is a good-luck talisman for hunters, and safeguards the well-being of widows. (आध्यात्मिक: यह बुरी आत्माओं के खिलाफ सुरक्षा देता है, शिकारी के लिए एक सौभाग्यशाली ताबीज है, और विधवाओं की भलाई के लिए सुरक्षा करता है।)

6. Food (खाद्य): The whole plant, especially the leaves, is edible. The leaves are put into soup or eaten as spinach or as a vegetable. The plant provides grazing for stock, a game in and chickens.–पूरा पौधा, विशेषकर पत्तियां खाने योग्य है। पत्तियों को सूप में डाला जाता है या पालक के रूप में या सब्जी के रूप में खाया जाता है। पौधा स्टॉक के लिए चराई, एक खेल में और मुर्गियों को प्रदान करता है।
